Fight against Covid19: the AJSG benefits from support from Fondation Hirondelle

Since July 2020, the Association of Scientific Journalists of Guinea has produced radio magazines on the Coronavirus. These programs are broadcast across the entire rural radio network in Guinea.

The AJSG covers news related to Covid19 in the media by producing multimedia and radio programs which it broadcasts via 34 radio stations. To do this, it has set up a partnership with Radio Rurale de Guinée. Equipment to strengthen this broadcast was also given to partner radio stations. In addition, the productions are broadcast on social networks (Facebook, Twitter) and on the AJSG website.

To carry out these activities, the AJSG is supported by the Hirondelle Foundation, a Swiss non-profit organization that provides information to populations facing crises, to enable them to act in their daily lives and as citizens.

Fondation Hirondelle is, with 6 other organizations, a member of a consortium coordinated by Free Press Unlimited for the implementation of the project« Response to Covid-19 in Africa: Together for reliable information » financed by the European Union.
